Kristin Heider, Psy.D.

A licensed clinical psychologist offering virtual therapy, assessment, and consulting through Wellness Remote, LLC.

I am well-rounded by design. My training spans testing rooms, VA clinics, college counseling centers, and private practice — which means I can meet people where they are, whether they arrive as individuals, couples, students, veterans, or families.

My work is grounded in three primary approaches: Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and evidence based treatments for trauma. I adapt these evidence-based frameworks to each person, offering compassion, appropriate challenge, and direct feedback to help you move toward a life aligned with your values.

Primary approaches

CBT, ACT, and evidence based treatments for trauma.

These are the foundations of my practice. I use them flexibly, selecting techniques that fit your goals, history, and preferences.

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)

A structured, goal-oriented approach focused on identifying and changing unhelpful thought patterns and behaviors to reduce symptoms and build practical coping skills.

Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT)

Helps you make peace with difficult thoughts and feelings, clarify your values, and take committed action toward the life you want — even when discomfort is present.

Evidence based treatments for trauma

Integrates ACT's values-based framework with trauma-sensitive care, supporting safety, choice, and gradual pacing for those with complex, military, or childhood trauma histories.
